River Rhythms “Sawyer Brown”:

WHEN:

August 9, 2018 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

WHERE:

489 NW Water St
Albany Oregon

Mark Miller was born in Ohio, but moved to Florida when he was in eighth grade. Growing up, he played basketball, went to the beach, worked at Walt Disney World, and went to school—pretty much in that order. He was on the basketball team at the University of Central Florida when he started writing songs, finally deciding to move to Nashville to focus on singing and songwriting. The move worked out okay.
Mark has written many of Sawyer Brown’s hits, including “Step That Step,” “The Walk,” “Thank God for You,” “The Boys and Me,” as well as the band’s anthem: “Some Girls Do.”

For over 30 years the River Rhythms concert series has been hosting free Thursday night concerts in the Monteith Riverpark during July and August. The concerts vary in musical genre–past acts have included everything from country music by Tracy Lawrence to classic rock from the band Foghat. What doesn’t vary is the beautiful setting and the inescapably fun summer concert vibe. Bring the kids down early to do a free art activity. Wander through the food court and get an ice cream cone or a burger. Sit in the grass and let the music wash over you, or get on your feet and dance all night. Whatever you do,don’t miss the fun at Albany’s favorite summer concert series. Please visit www.riverrhythms.org for more information or call 541-917-7777.
